The backside workers on Kentucky’s race tracks are mostly from Mexico, Central and South America. They are migrants that make very little money with limited training to do anything else. This endowment is being established with the hope the the recipients will take advantage of the Catholic education system to obtain scholarships for secondary and advanced education degrees help break the cycle of poverty.
