Richard A. Lechleiter

President

Rich joined the Foundation as its President in April 2014, having previously served on the Board of Directors from 2006-2012. During the last two years of his Board term, he served as its Chair. In January 2014, Rich retired from Kindred Healthcare, Inc. after serving as its Chief Financial Officer for 12 years. Rich has four adult children – Matt, John, Claire and Andrew as well as daughter-in-law Julia – and he is a member of Holy Spirit parish.

Julie E. Baum

Vice President

Julie serves as the Vice President for the Foundation, overseeing both major annual fundraising events as well as directing the administration of all grants to families, schools and parishes supported by the Foundation. She has served in various roles at the Foundation since 2006. Julie and her three children are members of St. Raphael the Archangel parish.

Ashley Eifler

Development Officer

Ashely joined our team in January 2023 following five years in fundraising work at Sacred Heart Schools. She is passionate about engaging donors by sharing the mission of the Foundation and extending our reach to help even more families have access to a Catholic education. Ashley’s four adult children are all Catholic school graduates.

Gil Wentzel

Director of Finance

Gil joined the Foundation as Director of Finance in December 2017, following a 36-year career with D.D. Williamson & Company in various financial roles. Gil and his wife, Teresa, have two children and are members at Epiphany parish.

Michelle M. Dohrman

Director of Tuition Assistance

Michelle joined the Foundation in January 2018 as Manager of Grants and Analytics. She is focused on grant administration and provides analysis for business decisions, strategy and operational efficiencies. She is a CPA with many years of experience in accounting, banking and finance. Michelle and her husband, Mark, have two children and are members of St. Margaret Mary parish.

Valarie T. Fowler

Development and Marketing Manager

Valarie joined the Foundation in March 2019, having worked in the dental field for over 25 years. She manages our marketing, communications and donor database for the organization. She also contributes to the Foundation’s fundraising events. She has two children and is a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta parish.

Angela M. Higdon

Administrative Manager

Angie joined the Foundation in April 2022 coming from a long-standing career in healthcare for over 28 years. She manages the office operations and contributes to the Foundation’s fundraising events. Angie and her husband, Larry, have two children and are members of Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish.

Shannon Klimek

Development Coordinator

Shannon joined the Foundation in July 2024 as Development Coordinator, after working in fundraising for several years at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Catholic education has made a profound impact on her life, as well as the lives of her three grown children. She is eager to assist the Foundation in providing significant opportunities to families in our community. Shannon and her husband, Todd, are active members at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
